Is the Homebase Backpack waterproof?

The Homebase Backpack is extremely water resistant -- more water resistant than most luggage on the market -- but not waterproof. In fact, the only bags that are more waterproof are dry bags, which would be horrible to travel with as a carry on.

LiteSkin waterproof sailcloth combined with weather-resistant zippers protects your stuff from water damage without the need for a rain cover. You will be fine in most weather conditions, but we don’t recommend throwing your bag in a lake. Water will eventually make its way through the stitching.
